Rihanna Announces She’s Pregnant On The 2025 Met Gala Red Carpet

Rihanna revealed that she and her partner A$AP Rocky are expecting their third child on the Met Gala red carpet.

Throughout her time in the spotlight, the We Found Love singer and beauty mogul has become known as a modern-day queen of the Met Ball, making countless show-stopping appearances at the event over the years.

For this year’s event, Rih’s boyfriend A$AP Rocky, the father of her sons RZA and Riot, was one of the co-organisers, so all eyes were on the Grammy-winning singer as she made her entrance (and true to form, she was the last A-list guest to do so).

And what an entrance it was.

Paying homage to the night’s theme, which celebrated the history of Black dandyism, Rihanna’s look incorporated a pinstripe suit, polka dot cravat and pocket square, tailored blazer and fabulously oversized hat.

The look also served as Rihanna’s way of announcing to the world that she’s pregnant again, which A$AP Rocky also discussed as he spoke to reporters on the red carpet.

“It feels amazing, you know?” Rocky said of making the announcement at the Met Gala, telling AP: “I’m glad everybody’s happy for us, because we’re definitely happy, you know?”

A video shared by Today also saw Rihanna making light of the news, when one reporter asked if she had brought her “umbrella-ella-ella” for the occasion.

“Rocky brought that,” she quipped, before pointing to her stomach and declaring: “I brought the kid!”

One reporter for Entertainment Tonight also asked the Bajan star if her pregnancy would be putting her long-awaited ninth album “on pause even longer”, to which she responded: “No… maybe a couple videos. But I can sing!”

Rihanna gave birth to her eldest son RZA in May 2022, and announced less than a year later, during a performance at the 2023 Super Bowl, that a second child was on the way.

She and Rocky welcomed another son, who they named Riot, in August 2023, having also walked that year’s Met Gala while pregnant.
