People crowded around the staffer before he was carted off during the pregame warmups.

The game still went ahead as planned, with Philadelphia – who are second in the National League East- claiming a 7-2 win.

And now Nationals manager Martinez has provided a lengthy update.

Martinez said: “We haven’t heard anything as far as results-wise, but he is coherent and feeling better.

“It was a scary moment. You see him go down like that, and you don’t know what to think.

“We’re waiting on results. A lot of prayers are going out his way.

“His brother made it to the hospital, so his brother’s there with him right now.

“But other than that, we haven’t really heard what’s going on. A scary moment for all of us. He’s a big part of our Nats family.”

Frisbie received immediate medical attention at the pitcher’s mound, with the cause not yet known.

Martinez added: “Credit to the EMTs here in Philly and our staff. They were on it right away. We were able to get him to the hospital.”

Frisbie joined the Nationals staff in 2023, and pitched in the Independent League from 1998-2001.

In the game itself, Kyle Schwarber hit a three-run home run in the game.

While J.T. Realmuto and Max Kepler socked solo shots as the Phillies won their fourth straight game.

Realmuto, Bryson Stott and Johan Rojas each had two hits for Philadelphia in support of Cristopher Sanchez, who pitched a five-hitter.

While Nathaniel Lowe and Amed Rosario drove in a run for Washington, who have lost three in a row.

The Nationals – who are fifth the National League East will look to avoid a three-game sweep when the teams reconvene Thursday evening.
