Who is Akeem Morris?
Akeem Morris was born on May 2, 1996, in Spanish Town, Jamaica.
He is a former soccer player who was thrust into the public spotlight when he started dating iconic pop star Madonna.
As a younger man, Akeem moved to New York to attend Stony Brook University between 2014 and 2018, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and government.
During his time at college, Akeem played for the school’s soccer team and later joined Oyster Bay United FC based in New York — a US Premier Division side the competes in the Northeast Conference.
Their romance first sparked rumors in July 2024, when Morris appeared in Madonna’s social media posts celebrating the Fourth of July.
Since then, the couple has been seen together at various events, including intimate birthday celebrations and high-profile fashion shows.
How they met
Though the relationship between Madonna and Akeem Morris didn’t become public until mid-2024, they reportedly met during a photoshoot for Paper Magazine in August 2022.
Their connection grew stronger over the following months, with Madonna posting affectionate tributes and photos.
For Akeem’s 29th birthday, Madonna posted a heartfelt message describing him as her “favorite Taurus”, as well as snaps of them hugging and dancing at his party.
Akeem posted his own memories from the event, captioning his post “Thank you wifey” — sparking engagement rumors.
Their relationship so far has included glamorous outings, such as attending Milan Fashion Week together.
Then in January 2025, Madge was spotted rocking a huge diamond ring during a trip to Tokyo with Akeem, which only added to the gossip.

The ring is from the brand Bijules, which offers bespoke bridal bands among its jewellery.
