
South Ribble Borough Council’s upgrades to the play area at Tardy Gate began on Monday this past week.
Expected to be complete before the start of the summer holidays in a phrased opening, the Lostock Hall play area is set to offer several sitting areas, picnic benches and a diverse range of equipment for children.
Cllr Wesley Roberts, Cabinet Member for Finance and Assets at South Ribble Borough Council said, “We are thrilled to see our £275,000 investment into the new play area at Tardy Gate, Lostock Hall begin.

“The upgrades to the well-used play area will be transformative and will provide a vibrant and inclusive space for our children to enjoy for years to come.”
The investment of the park upgrade came from a revamp application approval made two years ago.
Prior to the expected six week upgrade, an artist impression of the park has been made available to the public by the South Ribble Borough Council.
