Traffic is building up on London Road due to a crash near the Capitol Centre.
South Ribble Police are on the scene on the A6 and have closed the road at the junctions with Bridge Terrace and Victoria Road.
A police spokesperson said the crash involved a motorbike.
Only one vehicle is involved and the crash took place at 2.48pm on Monday (16 June).
The biker is being treated at the scene at this stage.
Motorists are reporting long delays on London Road heading back towards Preston and also down the A6 back towards Bamber Bridge.
