There will be a chance to climb Preston’s highest point when the St Walburge’s spire tours return this July and August.

Visitors will be able to ascend the 309-foot (94 metre) high spire, which is the third tallest spire in the UK, and the tallest on a parish church.

The tours will run between 1pm and 5pm on Saturday 19 July, Saturday 26 July, Saturday 2 August, and Saturday 9 August.

All proceeds will go to assist in the maintenance of the Church, especially the restoration of the roof.

Tickets are available via the TicketTailor website.
