Penwortham Gala managed to avoid the threatened downpours as the sun beamed down on this year’s parade.
School groups, uniformed activities, dancers and more joined the procession.
As well as the parade which made its way through Penwortham to Hurst Grange Park there’s entertainment throughout the weekend.
The annual event runs until Saturday evening and then again on the park on Sunday with family-friendly activities for all to enjoy.
