There may be delays to refuse and waste collections in some Lostock Hall roads due to ongoing roadworks.
A number of roads off Todd Lane South, starting with Townsway and Bridgeway, are currently hosting roadworks which is making it challenging for collection teams to pass through, South Ribble Borough Council said.
The council has been advised that the work is expected to be complete by next week. They said that if bins have not been collected by 4pm tomorrow (13 June) then they hope to collect them on Monday or Tuesday next week.
A spokesperson for South Ribble Borough Council said: “Due to ongoing roadworks, our refuse and waste collection teams are experiencing difficulties accessing certain roads in Lostock Hall.
“The limited width of the roads has made it challenging for our larger vehicles to pass through.
“We have spoken with the contractor, who has advised us that the works should be completed by early next week.
“Please ensure you have left your bin out ready for collection. If we have not managed to gain access by 4pm on Friday 13 June, we hope to make collections on Monday 16 June or Tuesday 17 June.”
The roads affected are Townsway, Chartwell Rise, New Pastures, Malvern Close, Blenheim Close, Riverway Close, Woodstock Close, Kiddlington Close, Bridge End, Breeze Mount, Bridgeway, Baytree Close, Fellway Close, Tudor Croft and Regency Avenue.
