The Preston Pride’s Got Talent semi-finals are being held this weekend.

It’s the first time the competition – which is supported by Lancashire County Council – has taken place. The prize is an appearance on the new and bigger stage for Preston Pride 2025.

The Ferret will host the first semi-final from 7pm on Friday 20 June. Contestants are Owen Mcglashan, Kole Cook, Zoe Sapphire Feelgood, Sapphire Rose. There will be a special guest performance from judge Good Golly Ms Molly, plus and Elder Emo UK after party.

The following day, on Saturday 21 June from 3pm, Chain House Brewing Co and Taproom will see performances from Matilda Lily Vocals, Zack Brookes, Spacepixie, and Remus Edelstine.

Two winners from each semi-final will be decided by a panel of judges, and will move to the final at The Ferret on Sunday 13 July.

The talent search is one of a number of additional events for the community prior to Preston Pride on Saturday 27 September.

Lauren from the Preston Pride Committee and Elder Emo UK told Blog Preston: “Last year’s feedback asked for more events so we have listened to the community and done just that. Expanding LGBTQ+ events in the local community adds to the message of what we need internationally!

“In a current climate where issues that should no longer be an issue are – we’re not only making our Preston talent the stars, but allowing the queer community and its allies a chance to shine too – united in a safe and collective space, so please join us and show your support.”
