A new schedule has been given for the Red Arrows heading over Preston on Saturday (7 June).

Due to the wet weather throughout much of the day their departure from RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland has been delayed.

They were due to fly over the city at around 4.40pm.

Now they will be heading over Preston – as part of the RAF Town Show – at 5.10pm instead before they head over to Liverpool.

Their route is due to take them directly over the centre of Preston, following the A6 almost directly, but they did a loop over the city last time taking in much of Penwortham and Ashton-on-Ribble as well as the east of the city as they put on a display over Avenham Park for the RAF Town Show.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight – due to include the Lancaster Bomber – appears to have been cancelled due to the weather conditions. It had been due to fly over Preston during Saturday afternoon.
