IKEAIf you’ve picked up anything from IKEA lately — or even years ago — it might be time to check your drawers, chargers, and ceiling lamps. IKEA Canada currently has 13 active recalls, including one issued just this week.
The good news? You don’t need a receipt or proof of purchase to get a full refund or replacement, and there’s no deadline for returns.
Here’s the full list of recalled IKEA items as of June 2025:
IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL garlic press
Reason: Some units may break during use, causing small metal pieces to fall into your food — a major safety risk.
Recalled models: article numbers 305.781.89 and 201.521.58 (sold in Canada), as well as 601.636.02 (sold elsewhere), with date stamps from 2411 to 2522

Reason: These compact power banks may overheat due to a manufacturing defect, with fire being a potential hazard.

- 10 400 mAh (model number E2038) with date stamps 2313, 2316, 2318, 2319
- 5 200 mAh (model number E2037) with date stamps 2318, 2319, 2322
ÅSKSTORM 40W USB charger
Reason: Repeated bending of the power cord can cause wear and lead to electric shock or burns.
Recalled models: dark grey model with article number 80461200 and model number ICPSW5-40-1
LETTAN mirror
Reason: The wall fittings on certain mirrors can fail over time, causing the mirror to fall unexpectedly.

- All date stamps before and including 2105
- All date stamps before and including 2325 with supplier number 21944
BLÅVINGAD fishing game
Reason: Rivets on the toy can come loose, posing a choking hazard for young children.

Reason: The star-shaped base on some anthracite-coloured chairs can crack, creating a fall risk.

Reason: The blue and red versions have a button that may detach and pose a choking hazard.

GLIVARP dining table
Reason: The extension leaf on the white frosted version can come loose and fall during use.
Recalled models: White frosted extendable version
CALYPSO ceiling lamp
Reason: Glass shades may detach unexpectedly — check the date stamp to see if yours is affected.
Recalled models: All date stamps from 1625 to 1744 (purchased after August 1, 2016)
What to do if you own one of these
Stop using it right away. You can return it in-store or contact IKEA customer service for a full refund or a repair — no proof of purchase required.
