
A key road in South Ribble was closed after a crash that required the air ambulance to attend.
Emergency services were called to Collins Road in Bamber Bridge, between Station Road and Poplar Avenue, at 1.33pm today (21 July) to reports of a crash.
The road was closed and North West Ambulance Service, Lancashire Constabulary and the air ambulance attended the scene.

Witness reports indicate that the air ambulance landed on nearby Brownedge St Mary’s High School and that the crash involved two vehicles. Debris can be seen in the road.
It is understood that one of the cars has hit a wall and came to stop in a hedge.
