Sunseekers out at Preston Docks and the Bullnose are being told not to worry if they see emergency services.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service is undertaking a major training exercise as a heatwave continues to grip Preston and Lancashire with temperatures set to hit 30 degrees during Saturday afternoon.
Taking place throughout Saturday (12 July) morning the water rescue teams are testing their skills.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “You might see multiple fire appliances near the Bullnose area of Preston Docks and the River Ribble tomorrow morning.
“Please do not worry, this is not an emergency – our crews are taking part in a training exercise.
“If you see live casualties in the water wearing yellow helmets, please don’t be alarmed – they are part of the exercise.
