Justin Trudeau Attends Katy Perry Concert Amid Dating Rumours

Just days after getting the whole world talking when they were pictured out for dinner, Justin Trudeau has once again been spotted in the company of Katy Perry.

On Wednesday night, the former Canadian prime minister was photographed by fans attending Katy’s show in Montreal.

He was pictured standing at the barrier during the Grammy nominee’s set, on the fifth of Katy’s six Canadian stops on her Lifetimes world tour, in support of her ill-fated 2024 album 143.

On Tuesday afternoon, the unlikely pairing were first seen together in footage published by TMZ, showing the chart-topping singer and ex-world leader dining at Le Violon, a restaurant in Montreal.

HuffPost UK contacted representatives for Katy Perry earlier this week but did not receive a response.

According to the US news outlet, the pair were seen “sipping cocktails” and “sharing several dishes”, while security monitored them from a nearby table.

Although TMZ was quick to point out that it’s not clear whether the two were on a “romantic date” or “just a friendly hang” – the sight of the California Gurls singer out for dinner with Trudeau still managed to cause a major stir on social media.

Earlier this month, Katy and her ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom confirmed that they had parted ways around a decade after they first began dating.

However, the pair have insisted they will remain friends, and have since been photographed on holiday with their daughter, Daisy and Orlando’s teenage son, Flynn.

The former Canadian PM has also been single since August 2023, when it was announced that he and Sophie Grégoire, his wife of 18 years, had separated.

Katy’s new-found friendship with Trudeau isn’t the only unexpected story she’s been connected with.

Weeks before she and Orlando confirmed their split, she found herself at the centre of plenty of debate when she and an all-female team – including American broadcaster and Jeff Bezos’ then-fiancée Lauren Sánchez – briefly travelled into space.
