
A major fire in an industrial estate in Bamber Bridge is sending a smoke plume across the M6.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service has five crews trying to bring the fire under control.
Crews were called shortly after 5.15pm on Friday (18 July) to a premises in the Charnley Fold Industrial Estate.

Blog Preston understands the premises on fire is the former Walton Taxis building.
There are road closures and disruption in and around School Lane, Bamber Bridge, as a result.
A spokesperson for the fire service urged those nearby to keep windows and doors closed if they can see or smell smoke.

Motorists on the M6 have reported seeing a large smoke plume drifting across the motorway between Junction 29 and Junction 30.
