
One of Preston’s main bus providers has announced upcoming changes to nine services.
Preston Bus is introducing timetable changes and merging its football service to Preston North End into one service.
The 288 is a new Football Special, replacing the 287 and 289 from the start of the new season with the first PNE home game on Saturday 16 August against Leicester City.

The new 288 will run from Ashton, through Lea and Cottam and then onto Deepdale.
There’s also later buses planned on the 19 and 19A which connects Lea and Larches with the Docks and the Preston park and Ride and Preston Railway Station with extra evening journeys.
A new 114 services between Chorley – Clayton Brook – Leyland is being supported by Lancashire County Council and will run during the evening and all day Sunday too.
And a new Sunday service linking Chorley, Eccleston and Croston, the 347, is also being supported by the county council and will run an hourly service on Sunday daytimes.
Elsewhere there’s changes to
6 – Bus Station to Brookfield and Red Scar – morning and afternoon peak period timetable changes.
8 – Bus Station to Moor Nook – morning and afternoon peak period timetable changes
23 – Bus Station to Fulwood Asda via Royal Preston Hospital – goes to every 12 minutes instead of every 10 minutes on weekdays along with peak time changes to morning and afternoon timetables
31 – Bus Station to Savick and Lea – morning and afternoon peak period timetable changes
35 – Bus Station to Tanterton and Ingol – morning and afternoon peak period timetable changes
