There are severe delays and queuing traffic on the M6 due to a crash.

Emergency services were called to the scene of a crash on the southbound carriageway around lunchtime today (4 July) between junction 31a for Longridge and 31 for Preston New Road.

One lane is closed and there is queueing traffic heading southbound as a result.

There are also delays on the M55 heading eastbound as traffic attempts to join the M6 at junction 32, where traffic is stretching back to.

Blog Preston was told by Lancashire Police that there were minor injuries to one person as a result of the crash.
