One of the city’s largest office spaces has been sold.

Tulketh Mill bordering Blackpool Road and Balcarres Road in Ashton-on-Ribble is now in the hands of the Agha Group.

Previously used as a call centre and distribution hub by Carphone Warehouse and Littlewoods it now only has one floor used by Capita with the remaining four floors empty.

The grade-II listed mill dates back to 1905 and it was one of Lancashire’s largest cotton-spinning mills.

Chief executive of Manchester-based Agha Group, Agha Sameer Anwar, said: “The acquisitions of both Tulketh Mill and Houldsworth Mill provide accretive income and the opportunity to implement targeted initiatives to enhance both assets.

“The acquisitions of these complex assets have again required considerable focus, and I am grateful to my capable professional team for their support.”

A total of 292,600 square foot of floor space is currently available within Tulketh Mill.

When the Mill was last sold in 2018 it was valued at £8.7million according to PlaceNorthWest’s report.
