A popular Chorley visitor attraction Astley Hall, Coach House and Park is a finalist in the ‘Small Visitor Attraction’ category at the prestigious, county-wide awards.

Marketing Lancashire, the local visitor economy partnership for the county, announced finalists in 18 categories for the 2026 event, with more announcements in the events and unsung hero award categories to come.

The annual awards celebrate the best of Lancashire tourism covering accommodation, food and drink, cultural, heritage, hospitality businesses and more.

Councillor Peter Wilson, deputy leader of Chorley Council, said: “It’s wonderful to see the recognition of Astley Hall, Coach House and Park in the Lancashire Tourism Awards alongside a host of fantastic Lancashire businesses, including two others from Chorley.

After playing host to the tenth Annual Chorley Flower Show in July 2025, Astley continues to deliver, providing a series of activities and events throughout the rest of the summer and beyond.

Visitors to Astley Hall, Coach House and Park can also make use of a varied day out including discovering history in the Astley Hall heritage museum, taking in exhibitions from both local and travelling artists, and exploring just over 100 acres of green park space, walled garden and woodland walks.

Onsite businesses offer food and drinks and locally sourced shopping at Café Ambio, Barrica in the Park and the Astley Museum Shop.

Now confirmed on the shortlist, Astley Hall, Coach House and Park will face a judging process including mystery shopping, unannounced visits and interviews with an independent panel of judges.

The awards ceremony will take place in February 2026. Winners of several categories, including the Small Visitor Attraction award, will then have the chance to represent the county at the Visit England Awards for Excellence.
