A city centre pub is back open after a six-figure renovation project.

The Guild, on Fylde Road, reopened on Friday (8 August) after works that included a redecoration of the bar and restaurant area, new furniture, new TV screens and a refurbishment of the toilets.

The outdoor has also been expanded with 162 additional seats and new lighting with the intention of creating a welcoming atmosphere.

The Guild is operated by Greene King who also own The Hungry Horse brand. Along with The Guild, the group has Poachers in Bamber Bridge, The Fleece in Penwortham, Old Leyland Gates, Lane Ends in Ashton-on-Ribble, The Phantom Winger at Broughton and Malthouse Farm at Whittle-le-Woods.

The grade-II listed pub had been closed since 14 July.
