Giants rookie cornerback TJ Moore was carted off the field after suffering a devastating injury late in the preseason game on Thursday night[/caption]
Moore intercepted a pass and ran it back for a 44-yard touchdown to give his Giants a 35-10 lead late in the fourth quarter.
However, just minutes later, the 19-year-old was placed on a cart during the final minutes of the contest.
During a play, Moore seemed to plant his leg the wrong way, and he grabbed his right leg as he fell to the ground.
The entire Giants team went to the field and stood by Moore before he was placed on a cart with his right leg immobilized.
He’d then be taken to the Giants’ locker room for further evaluation.
But Moore was later seen being put into an ambulance on a stretcher after it arrived in the tunnel near the Giants’ locker room, per The Post.
After the game, Giants’ rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart shared a message about Moore’s injury and asked for NFL fans’ prayers for the cornerback.
“Keep TJ in your prayers y’all! Love you bro!” he wrote on X.
Dart and the team’s other quarterbacks, Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, helped trainers carry Moore to the cart.
Big Blue head coach Brian Daboll spoke about Moore’s gruesome injury after the 42-10 win.
“Wasn’t good,” he said in a postgame conference.
“Feel for that young man.”
It was a brutal way for the game to end for Moore.
On top of the pick-six, he posted three total tackles.
