NFL fans are hoping to see their team improve throughout training camp, but that isn’t the case for the Steelers yet.

Thursday’s practice wasn’t positive, as the offense and defense came to blows.

Tight end Jonnu Smith and safety Juan Thornhill came to blows twice during the practice.

Footage quickly went viral on social media following the fight.

In one of the clips, Smith could be seen winning his rep against Thornhill in a 1-on-1.

He threw the ball at him after the play, pouring salt on the wound.

Thornhill sprung to his feet and charged at smith before the fight was broken up.

Before the fight was over, Smith already tore Thornhill’s helmet off.

Later in the day, Thornhill got his revenge on smith by winning a separate 1-on-1 rep.

After that play her shoved the ball into Smith’s chest, sparking another scuffle.

That fight was shorter as teammates were nearby to break it up.

Both Thornhill and Smith joined the Steelers this offseason.

NFL fans loved to see their intensity at training camp and shared their thoughts on social media.

“Love it. Steelers need every bit of that and more to even have a shot at having a shot,” one fan said.
