A large number of homes in rural Preston are without power due to an ‘unexpected incident’.
SP Electricity North West said that 1,157 homes have been affected by the outage which is affecting properties in Grimsargh, Goosnargh, Ribbleton and Whittingham on Thursday morning (18 September).
Engineers are on their way to the site to carry out repairs and it is hoped power will be restored by 11.09am.

A message to customers on the Electricity North West website said: “This power cut has been caused by an unexpected incident on the high voltage cable that provides electricity to your home or business.
“We didn’t know before your electricity went off that this was going to happen but now we know, rest assured we will get your power back on safely and as quickly as possible.”
