The South African under 21 team has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Netball World Youth Cup in Gibraltar.

The Baby Proteas retained their unbeaten run at the tournament with a comfortable 85-35 victory over Fiji in their last Pool D match.

They are the only team to have scored a hundred goals or more in a match, and they did it twice against Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago in their first two matches of the tournament.

Fiji were also no match for the Baby Proteas and the South Africans dominated proceedings from the first whistle.

They’ll play another South Pacific nation, the Cook Islands, in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

The Cook Islands only lost to New Zealand in the group stage.
