Man charged with 17 shoplifting offences as Tesco stores targeted in Preston

A Preston man has been charged with multiple thefts from Tesco shops in Preston.

Jonathan Cooke, 49, of no fixed address has been charged with 17 counts of theft from a shop.

Preston Police say the shoplifting offences took place between July and September this year with confectionary in particular taken from the Tesco shops.

Cooke appeared before Preston Magistrates’ Court on Friday (19 September).
