A new opening date has been revealed for the delayed independent food hall which will occupy the final unit at Animate.
The Mad Giant Food Hall will soon open its doors at Preston’s new cinema and leisure complex having been beset by issues which pushed back the launch.
The Mad Giant was due to originally open in late April but was put back to a summer opening. It had then been scheduled to open last Friday (September 26), only for another last minute delay.

On that occasion, an update on the food hall operator’s social media cited an “unexpected issue with our fire panels” as the reason for the pushback.
Now, they have confirmed a new date has been lined up for 12noon on Thursday, October 2.
Three of the four food stalls have been confirmed for the Mad Giant – with Different Gravy Company, Eat Like A Greek and Crust and Co pizza due to take up residency. A cocktail bar, operated by the Northern Lights Group who are behind the food hall, is also due to open.
