Racist abuse and indecent exposure in broad daylight Winckley Square incident

Police are investigating an incident that included racist abuse, attempted theft and indecent exposure in Preston.

A report was made to Lancashire Constabulary that the alleged offences happened at around 12.55pm on Saturday, 16 August.

The racist abuse and attempted theft reportedly took place inside St Wilfrid’s Church on Winckley Square in Preston.

The indecent exposure took place outside the church, in front of the courtyard that joins Chapel Street.

Police have released images of a man they wish to speak with in connection with their investigation.

A spokesperson for police said: “We appreciate this happened some time ago, and whilst we have been making enquiries since that date, we are now in a position to ask for your help.

“We know these images aren’t of the highest quality, but if you recognise this man, witnessed this incident, or have any footage or information that could assist us with our enquiries, please call 101 quoting log 794 of 16th August.”
