Lash company, MKART Eyelash Extensions in Ribbleton, has received its 88th trophy after being named in the top ten for the 2025 Hair and Beauty Awards.
Founder, Modesta Kanapinskiene, was named tenth place Industry Icon of the Year at the Hair and Beauty Awards.
This year’s awards, hosted on 30 August, were not Modesta’s first award for beauty excellence she has received.
Since discovering her passion for the lash profession in 2017, Modesta has received 88 trophies from lash competitions.
Her recent favourite is said to be the Lash Stylist of the Year at 2024’s Hair and Beauty awards.
She said this award was “a career highlight” that she will “always cherish.”
Since discovering her passion in 2017, Modesta has juggled her lash business with learning more about the profession through her international lash judge duties.
With this job inviting her across Europe to judge in lash championships, she said it allows her to share her knowledge and be inspired by others to continue improving and innovating.
In a comment about her 2025 award and a reflection on her awards over the years, Modesta said: “I am truly honoured to be nominated and recognised with so many awards.
“Every achievement reflects not only my passion and dedication but also the trust and support of my wonderful clients. My greatest joy comes from seeing the happiness and confidence in the women I work with, and I am so grateful to be able to do what I love every single day.”
