An area outside a store in Ribbleton has been cordoned off on Friday evening after a man suffered a medical emergency.
Officers from Lancashire Constabulary were at the scene of the incident at Tesco Express on Longridge Road at around 7.30pm on Friday (17 October).
The cash machine outside the store has been cordoned off with police tape preventing it from being used.
Witness reports indicated that a robbery has taken place but this proved to be incorrect and Blog Preston understands that a man in his 50s has suffered a medical episode.
He has been taken to hospital by the ambulance service and police said that no crime has taken place.
The store is otherwise open as normal.
