A garden centre near Preston has opened applications for a campaign that will see Christmas trees given to schools and nurseries.

Dobbies Community Christmas Tree campaign will see stores across the UK, including their Blackpool Road site, giving away more than 220 Christmas trees to local schools and nurseries.

Nigel Lawton, plant buyer at Dobbies, said: “Our Dobbies Community Christmas Tree campaign is a great opportunity to spread festive joy with local schools and nurseries near our Preston store, showing children the magic a real Christmas tree can bring. We can’t wait to see what the successful applicants do with their trees.”

Schools have until 6 November to apply for a Christmas tree, and winners will be announced in mid-November.
