Emma Baines, who is one of the people behind Longridge Does Christmas, said: “The tractor run was such a success last year that we wanted to make it bigger this time around.

“It will also be ‘foody Friday’ at the Civic Hall. We will have the Striped Pig Company there selling hog roast sandwiches; a spud van; Greek food; and hot desserts and coffee outlets. There will also be live music, bands and a bar to make a real night of it.

“We want this to be a free event that gets people to the Civic Hall. We know Longridge is getting bigger and we want to showcase what we have to offer.”
