Bosses of a Leyland start-up believe that its artificial intelligence (AI) platforms could effectively replace real-life receptionists.
Intrinzi, based at Centurion House, has unveiled a new category of workforce replacement: AI employees that look, sound and act like humans and are, they claim, ready to take on jobs traditionally filled by people.
From AI voice receptionists that answer calls, to AI live chat agents that resolve customer issues instantly, to AI-powered social media managers that engage audiences 24/7, the company’s owners say its solutions offer business owners an always-available alternative to human staff.
Joshua Griffin, co-founder of Intrinzi, said: “AI is no longer just a tool, it’s now a direct replacement for certain roles. We know this will be controversial, but the reality is simple; businesses want efficiency and AI employees can deliver it at scale.”

The debate around the role of AI is one that continues to rage, with critics arguing it could accelerate unemployment, while supporters say it opens new doors for companies struggling with labour shortages, rising costs and the demand for 24/7 customer support.
There are even debates in some quarters about AI providing further empowerment for the existing workforce, with the potential to shorten the working week to four days as efficiencies are founder through the use of technology.

But as fate would have it, the 4 Nations Face-Off took on a deeper political tone as it coincided with American President Donald Trump repeatedly <a href="https://www.mtlblog.com/canada-trump-trudeau-tariffs" target="_blank">threatening heavy tariffs on Canada </a>and suggesting the country could become the 51st state.</p><p>As a result, North America's biggest sports rivalry was taken to a new level, with fans on both sides <a href="https://www.mtlblog.com/montreal-fans-anthem-trudeau" target="_blank">booing each other's national anthems</a>. Unsurprisingly, matchups between Canada and the U.S. were heated and hard-hitting, with plenty of physical play.</p><p>In the end, though, Canada got the last laugh as superstar forward Connor McDavid sealed the deal with an epic overtime winner in Boston, clinching a 3-2 victory and setting off celebrations across the country.</p><blockquote class="rm-embed twitter-tweet" data-partner="rebelmouse" data-twitter-tweet-id="1892797553990664280">

Not only our team, but Canada needed a win."</p>
