M6 delays at Junction 31 southbound after two car crash

Delays are continuing on the M6 southbound after a crash just before Junction 31.

Two cars were involved in the crash on the southbound side.

There are delays of around 15 minutes on the stretch from Broughton (Junction 32 M6) down to Tickled Trout as a result.

The crash took place around 1.20pm and both vehicles have reportedly been recovered to the hard shoulder with emergency services on the scene.

Motorists saw major disruption during Sunday morning (12 October) as the M61 was closed off due to a police incident.
