Murder accused Katiso “KT” Molefe is expected to head to the High Court in Johannesburg on Thursday to appeal the decision by the Alexandra Magistrate Court to deny him bail.
Molefe is accused of being behind the murder of prominent music producer, Oupa Sefoka, otherwise known as “DJ Sumbody” and his bodyguards in 2022.
He faces several charges including murder, being in possession of unlicensed firearms and conspiracy to commit murder.
The court rejected Molefe’s request for bail in August, arguing that he failed to prove exceptional circumstances required for him to be released.
During the application, the state said that he is the mastermind behind Sefoka’s murder.
The businessman has, however, maintained that the evidence against him is speculation and he denied being a flight risk.
