Pizza Hut at a city retail park has closed its door after the firm behind it fell into administration.
The Deepdale Shopping Park restaurant did not open on Monday as the pizza ovens were kept turned off.
While 64 sites across the UK have been saved in a sale to the Pizza Hut global owner Yum! Brands the Preston site is not one of them.

A notice pinned to the door confirmed the restaurant has closed and the nearest Pizza Hut dine in was not at Blackpool and the Pizza Hut Preston North in Plungington Road was still operating for takeaway.
DC London Pie Limited, which operated Pizza Hut’s UK restaurants, went into administration during Monday 20 October with 68 restaurants being confirmed as closing and 11 delivery outlets.
A total of 1,210 jobs are being lost but the deal with Yum! Brands means 64 of the pizza restaurants will be retained.
Nicolas Burquier, managing director for Pizza Hut Europe and Canada, said: “This targeted acquisition aims to safeguard our guest experience and protect jobs where possible.”
Pizza Hut had previously been a mainstay of the city centre dining scene – on Cheapside at the Flag Market – but moved to the retail park in recent years.
