St Wilfrid’s Primary School in Ribchester is hoping to raise funds this autumn with a ‘Spooky Book Hunt’ around the village.
Last year’s version of the trail raised more than £700 for school coffers and organisers are hoping this year proves even more popular.
Running from 18 October to 2 November, packs will available at the Premier store, Church Street, Ribchester and cost £2.50 each. Shop bosses have kindly donated 400 lollies to be included in the packs, while The Croft, a popular cafe at Stydd Gardens, Stoneygate Lane, has donated a free tea or coffee voucher for every pack to be used as people make their way round the trail.

Ideal for young families during the half-term break in particular, all proceeds will go towards St Wilfrid’s PTFA and be pumped back into the village school.
Each pack contains a map, puzzle sheet, entry form, pencil, sweet treat and hot drink voucher. The trail is suitable for prams.
