A series of free local history talks will take place in Penwortham this winter.

The Penwortham Past talks will run at three different venues during November, December and January.

Each event will start with a talk from Peter Smith, former journalist and contributor to the Preston History blog. Peter will introduce crossing the Ribble from prehistory to the present day.

Elizabeth Basquill, author of Hidden Histories of Penwortham Houses, will follow. Elizabeth will share a deep dive of the Tithe map of Kingsfold in 1841. Attendees are invited to stay a little later to explore the map.
