Tanzanians will head to the polls on Wednesday, with questions mounting about the credibility of the electoral process.
President Samia Suluhu Hassan is seeking re-election under the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi party, but with the main opposition leader, Tundu Lissu, facing treason charges and reports of growing political repression, analysts say the outcome is almost certain.
Human rights organisations say that intimidation and violence are threatening the credibility of the polls.
