But a spokesperson for the university has said they have no intention of charging anyone for parking at the sports area in Tom Benson Way.
A spokesperson for the University of Lancashire told Blog Preston: “We will not be implementing car parking charges for customers using the sports facilities at the University’s Sports Arena.”

The sports arena includes two 3G pitches, a hockey pitch and full athletics track.
A wide variety of community sports teams use the facilities with football, hockey, netball, tennis, rounders and more sports being played regularly.
