Woman arrested in arson investigation after flat fire

An arson investigation is continuing after a fire at a flat in Ribbleton.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a fire in Farringdon Close during Sunday (19 October) evening.

Crews from Preston, Bamber Bridge and Hyndburn worked to put out the fire shortly before 9pm.

No one was injured in the fire.

Preston Police confirmed they had begun an arson investigation.

A 30-year-old woman from Preston was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.

She has since been released on bail with conditions pending further enquiries.
