National Prosecuting Authority’s boss, Advocate Shamila Batohi, is back at the Nkabinde Inquiry in Pretoria on Tuesday.
On Monday, Batohi told the inquiry she relied on expert advice when approaching the President about Advocate Andrew Chauke.
She also submitted emails between Advocate Simphiwe Mlotshwa and Chauke, revealing a dispute over signing Major General Johan Booysen’s racketeering indictment without evidence.

Booysen, who headed for the Cato Manor Unit from 2008 to 2011, was arrested together with unit members on serious charges, including racketeering.
Batohi remains the inquiry’s key witness, as hearings continue into Chauke’s fitness to hold office.
