A huge new artwork created by Preston illustrator Dave Rob could soon be held aloft at Deepdale – if funds can be found.
More than £5,000 has now been raised for the creation of the Gentry Tifo.
It will remember and celebrate North End fans past and present.

John Kelly, of PNE Online and representing fan groups, is behind the project.
He said: “We’re proud to share a first glimpse of the huge Gentry Tifo — a stunning fan-led creation designed by local illustrator Dave Rob. The artwork celebrates hundreds of members of the Gentry, whose names and faces have been put forward by supporters across the Preston North End community.
“This project has been made possible thanks to incredible backing from Blog Preston, The Terrace, Sam’s Legacy, and the University of Central Lancashire, alongside generous donations from fans.
“Together, we’ve already raised just over 50 per cent of our fundraising target to bring this full-stand spectacle to life on the Alan Kelly Town End — a truly unforgettable display for a home game in the new year.
“Whilst we’re keeping the final full design under wraps to maximise the impact on the day, we’re delighted to share a few teaser images today — and we think you’ll agree, this will be something special.”
At Blog Preston we are proud to be backing the Gentry Tifo initiative.
Avid North End fan and co-editor Kate Rosindale said: “It’s really exciting to see this project coming together. Being involved through Blog Preston, and with my late father-in-law Eamonn’s name included on the Tifo, it means a lot.
“Dave Rob’s brilliant design captures what North End and the Gentry are all about – celebrating everyone who’s part of the club’s story.
“Something special like this only happens when the community gets behind it, so if you can spare a bit to help reach the target, please do. Every donation brings us closer to seeing the tifo come to life at Deepdale.”
John is also behind the PNE Flags initiative, and is on the hunt for people and organisations to back 1,000 waver flags which will be housed in the Sir Tom Finney family stand area.
Anyone who can help with the Tifo can contribute via the GoFundMe page.
