Four shops hit by knifepoint robberies in spree around Preston and Chorley

Four shops in and around Preston were hit by knifepoint robberies across three nights.

The first robbery happened at Premier Stores on Avenham Lane in Preston at around 7.30pm on Monday (10 November). Cash and cigarettes were stolen.

On Wednesday (12 November), at around 7.55pm, police were called to Vanikas on Langton Street in Preston after two men entered the shop and tried to force their way into the till area.

Then on Thursday (13 November) two robberies were reported in Chorley at around 7pm. The first happened Go Local in Brindle Street and then the second at the Convenience Store on Pall Mall.

Police believe the incidents are linked.

A spokesperson for police said: “We have been working to investigate these crimes, and we are now asking for your help.

“If you recognise either of the men, please call 101 – log 1243 of November 13th.

“Alternatively contact independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers.org.
In an emergency, please call 999.”
