French President Emmanuel Macron, has commended South Africa for hosting a successful G20 Leaders’ Summit.
The two day summit which ended yesterday was held in Africa for the first time.
Macron says South Africa should be proud of hosting the successful leaders’ summit.
He was speaking to the media on the sidelines of the summit at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg.
“The first G20 Summit in our history on the African continent. It’s a great achievement and I think South Africa can be proud of this achievement. Second where the African Union has a seat which is very important and great achievement.”

Minister of Basic Education Siviwe Gwarube says G20 Leaders’ Summit weekend feels like a great reset for the rest of the country. She says that South Africa have been removed from the grey-list and government has created more jobs in the last quarter.
