Thousands of Prestonians enjoyed some festive fun as the city’s Christmas lights were turned on with the annual Flag Market ceremony.
More than two hours of entertainment took place with performances of vintage classics from Warren Michaels through to TikTok sensation Henry Oliver performing in the event organised by Preston’s Business Improvement District.
Preston’s SpudBros introduced the Dementia Choir and announced they would be working in partnership with them this Christmas.

The Christmas lights were switched on by Debbie Meade-McLouglin from Jade’s Bags.
She was nominated by Blog Preston readers to be the city’s switch on star due to the charity work she undertakes in memory of her late daughter, Jade.
