A 17-year-old girl is expected to appear in the Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo for attempted murder after she allegedly poured hot water on a 20-year-old woman.
The suspect found the victim’s photo on her boyfriend’s phone and went to confront her.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says the incident happened on Friday at Denstaat village near the Mapungubwe National Park.
After the suspect found the victim’s photo on her boyfriend’s phone, she then went to the victim and allegedly poured hot water over the victim and further struck her several times on the head and face with a bottle.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Police investigations are continuing.
