Traffic was stopped on the M55 after a car overturned from the carriageway.
Crews from North West Ambulance Service, Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service and Lancashire Constabulary were all called to the scene at around 8.30pm on Thursday (27 October).
There was a two-vehicle collision in which National Highways: North West reported that one of the vehicles had overturned from the carriageway.

It happened on the eastbound carriageway close to junction 2 for Edith Rigby Way.
Traffic was building eastbound as cars are held while emergency services work at the scene.
