Ntlabakanye called up to Springboks after Nche injury

Lions prop Asenathi Ntlabakanye has joined the Springbok squad as a replacement for Ox Nche, who suffered an injury during the team’s 61-7 victory over Japan at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Ntlabakanye, who made his Test debut in July against Italy, joined the team in London this morning, after representing the Barbarians in their match against an All Blacks Fifteen in London, and departed with the squad for France.

Nche returned to South Africa, where he will undergo scans to determine the extent of his injury.
