Nigerian fintech company Paystack has suspended co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Ezra Olubi following allegations of sexual misconduct involving a subordinate and the resurfacing of offensive tweets he posted between 2009 to 2017.

The old tweets, which contained graphic references to workplace harassment, bestiality, and minors, sparked widespread public backlash on social media platform X.

Paystack confirmed that Olubi’s suspension is effective immediately and will remain in place while a formal investigation is conducted. Olubi has deactivated his X account and has not publicly commented on the allegations or the resurfaced posts.
