There are two major new releases this week, both of which began screening early in cinemas throughout Preston.
Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is the long-awaited third entry in the popular series starring Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, and Dave Franco. The Four Horsemen return, and this time, they are joined by a new generation of magicians.
Glen Powell stars in The Running Man. Based on the popular sci-fi dystopian novel by Stephen King, this action-packed story sees a man compete in a game of cat and mouse that will see him go to extraordinary lengths to survive and win.
Keeper is also landing in local cinemas this week. A supernatural horror film starring Tatiana Maslany as a couple’s romantic trip away turns into something much more sinister.
Nuremberg is a psychological thriller starring Russell Crowe, Michael Shannon and Rami Malek. The film follows a World War II psychiatrist who interviews Nazi leaders ahead of the Nuremberg trials.
This week, Vue is also shutting its doors briefly in order to install their brand new Ultra Luxe seats. Fortunately, they will be open again from the 18th, ahead of the release of Wicked: For Good.
Beyond the new releases, there are plenty of exciting event listings and exclusive showings in each of the cinemas around Preston. This is all of the unique listings playing between Friday, the 14th, and Thursday, the 20th of November.
Gruffalo + Room On The Broom

Julia Donaldson’s popular stories for children have been adapted into animated short features that are beloved by kids. So, if you need something to keep the younger kids and toddlers entertained, this is the perfect listing.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution

Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution is the latest feature-length entry into the popular anime series, Jujutsu Kaisen. The film picks up after the events of season 2, and will adapt an important part of the Manga ahead of season 3.
A Tooth Fairy Tale

The Arc Cinema and Vue are the only venues in Preston showing A Tooth Fairy Tale, an animated fantasy film about a Tooth Fairy, a troll, and a goblin who must unite their abilities to face a threat that could destroy their magical worlds.
Dogs at the Opera

This film was originally released in Russia in 2023, but it now finally comes to the UK. The animated adventure follows a group of dogs who find themselves in the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, where they quickly get acquainted with life at the theatre.
Elf

The Christmas classic from 2003 is back on the big screen at the Odeon. Will Ferrell stars in this outrageous film about a man who grew up among elves, and now seeks to reunite with his human father in New York.
Lilo & Stitch

Disney’s latest live-action adaptation, Lilo & Stitch, came out earlier in 2025. Now, it returns to the Odeon as part of their kids club offering over the weekend.
Home Alone
Sunday
Odeon is clearly leading the way when it comes to holiday celebrations as they will also be screening Home Alone on Sunday. The iconic Christmas classic about a resourceful boy who is left at home and must fend off would-be thieves.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

The Odeon is bringing the popular supernatural coming-of-age films back to the big screen.
Park Avenue

Park Avenue is playing as the Odeon’s Silver Cinema offering this week. When a young woman realises the life she has stumbled into is not for her, she returns to her mother’s home, and away from her controlling husband.
Screen Unseen

The Odeon will also host a special Screen Unseen showing. There are no details about what the film may be, but with so many incredible big releases coming up, those in attendance are sure to be in for a treat.
The Roses

The Arc Cinema’s Silver Screen showing will be The Roses, starring Olivia Coleman and Benedict Cumberbatch. The film is a modern retelling of the classic novel, The War of the Roses, and follows an increasingly dysfunctional couple as they navigate divorce.

Finally, all cinemas across Preston will be hosting a very special double bill of Wicked and the brand new sequel, Wicked: For Good, this coming Thursday. Cynthia Erivo stars as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch, and Ariana Grande as Glinda, joined by a spectacular cast and a visual feast throughout the film.
